Christmas Crafting Day

We’ve had a few enquiries about exactly what our Christmas themed crafting day will include so we thought we’d give you a full breakdown of how the day will pan out.

The event is being held at The Fairway, Elmhirst Lane, Barnsley which is just 1 mile from junction 37 of the M1 so easily accessible from all directions. There is plenty of car parking (including disabled spaces) and access is through the hotel reception. The workshop room is situated on the 2nd floor, however there is a lift which can accommodate a wheelchair and there are no steps along the corridor so there should not be any problems for anyone wanting to join us who may have mobility issues.

We will meet from 9.30am to have a cup of tea or coffee before the first activities will begin at 10am. For the morning session we will be using some fabulous Christmas themed cotton yarn and you can choose to crochet a Christmas stocking, or some cute trees, or a coaster . . . with a ball of yarn the possibilities are endless and, if you are anything like us, you will want to try them all! If crochet isn’t your craft of choice we will have some suggestions of knitting patterns for you to try or you could make a felt Christmas decoration. Whatever you choose, the materials are all included in the price.

Our buffet lunch will be served at noon. There will be an opportunity to stretch your legs or to visit the bar for a cheeky little drink before we start our 2nd workshop at 1pm.

After lunch we will be making a rag tie wreath which is a very simple craft for all abilities to enjoy but makes the most fabulous statement piece. There will be a choice of fabrics which we will ask you to choose from when you book so that everything is ready for you to get started straight away. Extra ribbons and trims will be available as well so you can personalize your wreath to match your own style.

There will be more tea and biscuits served mid-afternoon to keep our energy levels up and we will be finishing at around 5pm.

The cost for the day is just £70 which includes all materials and tuition for the morning and afternoon workshops, teas, coffees and cordials throughout the day plus a buffet lunch. All ages are welcome but we do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is accompanied by an adult who will also be participating in the event. If you have any other questions about the day then please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

We hope you can join us!
